How to Effortlessly & Elegantly Style Your Jeans

What I’m Wearing
Jeans: Bolton’s Stretchy Skinny Jeans
Shoes: Christian Louboutin
Bag: Valentino
Top: Catherine Malandrino

Jeans are extremely versatile and can be styled in many different ways for every size. They can be paired with a blouse, plain tee shirt, pumps, flats or heeled sandals. Jeans come in different styles: Boyfriend jeans, Skinny jeans, Stretchy jeans, Curvy jeans, Midrise, Lowrise, regular and the list goes on.

I’ve never considered myself a jeans kinda girl. Anyone who knows me well knows I’m a girly girl. By this, I mean dresses, skirts, pumps and heeled sandals kinda girl. Yes I was that little girl whose favorite color was red and pink, go ahead and dare to judge me 🙂 So you can imagine my level of disinterest when I walked into Bolton’s one casual summer day with the intention of window shopping only to be handed a pair of jeans by the store rep. I gave her a second look, smiled politely and said no thanks.  She insisted I try these bad boys on and boy, am I glad I did!!!

Immediately after putting these jeans  on, I knew I had to get them. They felt stretchy, soft, roomy and super gentle on my skin. Imagine wearing jeans but feeling like you are wearing PJs. You get the picture 🙂 What’s more. These jeans fit perfectly for the curvy petite woman with the hips going on.  It got me feeling all kinds of sexy, confident and absolutely beautiful. Even more important- they don’t SHRINK! That’s right, you heard me! Can someone scream YASS! We all know the usual shopping mishap that occurs when we buy jeans only to wear it once because it shrunk from a size 6 to a size 2 after the first wash. Not these bad boys.

I styled them with a one shoulder stripped white and blue peplum top from Catherine Malandrino that I found while at Macy’s on yet another beautiful summer day. For my shoes, I paired this lovely casual yet elegant outfit with my nude Christian Louboutin pumps.  I suppose the morale of the story is never close your mind to the possibility of trying new things. You never know, you just might hit jackpot like I did on this one 🙂
